The Gator II is a compact all-conditions axe for the outdoor adventurer. Made with a longer handle than the original Gator, the advantage is a greater striking force with the stainless steel head. The Gator Axes improve upon Gerber's award-winning line of axes. Gerber fused their famous Gator textured rubber grip onto their virtually unbreakable glass-filled nylon handle, giving these axes maximum grip in wet or dry conditions. The axe head is forged steel for superior edge retention. These models come with a magnet in the hollow handle to lock either a fixed blade knife or a precision ground saw into place.
