How we grade our systems:
Brand New US Military Modular Sleep Systems come in a sealed plastic bag with only the OD green Patrol Bag visible and arevery hard to come by. Many systems sold on Ebay and other sites as brand new are not brand new, even when advertised as such.
Like New / MINT
These bags are not in their factory original plastic but have factory inspection stickers and most inspection tags (which fall off easily with handling or laundering). There are no names on them. The Patrol Bags often have the factory zipper tags as well. We find no evidence of use. The velcro tabs, which typically accumulate dirt, fibers, and pieces of brush with use or laundering, are clean. We detect no zipper wear whatsoever. No stains or evidence wear on outside or inside of the bags. These systems are crisp and pristine.
These sleep systems would not otherwise be discernible as having been used but are missing a significant number of their factoryinspection tags (which fall off easily) or inspection stickers. No blemishes are found by us. No soldier markings or names. No tears, noholes, no defects. These are awesome. There may be occasional superficial "scuffs" on the compression sacks from being moved around a warehouse, palletized, etc.
In this category, sleep systems are in excellent shape but have some evidence they were deployed and slept in at one time. Forexample, velcro tags have bits of grass in them or lint from laundering. Soldier names may be present on compression sacks but not usually. Again, no tears, holes ordefects. These are excellent bags to own and at this price you cannot find a better sleep system anywhere.
There are no tears or holes and everything functions to spec. GI names may be present. There are usually signs of wear on the compression sack and other items. We do not sell anything we wouldn't buy and you will be pleased with these sleep systems! They are still terrific. The bivys alone are worth $40.
A zipper doesn't work, the Patrol Bag insulation is skewed to one side of the bag, a cinch on a string is missing or broken, stains are present, there's a tear, smells like smoke, etc. We throw these out.
